AUDIO 8/1993: Test - class, 90 points, 5 ears - new reference of the cassette deck to AUDIO (only device with 90 points in the sound)
AUDIO 6/2006: Retro - views of the CT-95 "Play it again, Pioneer " and detailed information on cleaning the unit and other tape decks. "With the test in issue 8/93, the 2,100 DM expensive car replaced the Nakamichi Dragon as a reference - the CT-95 is an unsurpassed representative of its kind in terms of sound and measurement technology to this day." (p.156). - About the sound, same article: "After the general overhaul, the aged pioneer proved current audiophile qualities. It still records frequencies up to 20 kHz, albeit somewhat noisy by nature (...) and sounds fascinatingly spatial, dynamic and sensitive. An IPOD suddenly looks old." (ibid p.157)
STEREO 7/1994: Recorder special comparison test with other recorders and also with Sony 's Minidisc recorder MDS-501. STEREO recommendation: Very good, 2 stars. "Plus + absolute top deck in sound, equipment and workmanship. Minus - high price, no shutdown in case of blockage."
