"For the 800,00 EUR price range the performances of the Mordaunt Short Premiere 5.1 are simply outstanding. The active subwoofer Mordaunt-Short MS 308 Sub impresses with dynamics and assertiveness, in listening rooms up to almost 20 square meters it delivers a very good performance even at higher levels. The draft of the compact component was as convincing in the test as the amazingly solid volume. But that's not all, even in the music business, the Mordaunt short MS 308Sub not only "babbles" imprecisely, but also offers a considerable degree of exact representation. Of course, the four identical satellites Mordaunt-Short MS 302 and the larger Center do not want to lag behind in such performances performed by their "low-frequency partner" and complete the excellent overall impression with their high tonal homogeneity. Disturbing sound holes, as you hear them out more often with not too expensive subwoofer / satellite combinations, are alien to the Mordaunt Short Premiere 5.1 , it offers such a complete sound impression as if larger-volume shelf speakers were doing their job and not the rather compact Mordaunt-short satellites Mordaunt-Short MS302. The performance of the Mordaunt Short Premiere 5.1 in the high-frequency range is also pleasing, here the Components freely on and without the slightly occupied sound image inherent in many cheaper systems. Even at high levels, the sound of the Mordaunt Short Premiere 5.1 is clear and clean, provided the listening room is not too big. It should be added that the workmanship of the Mordaunt Short Premiere 5.1 is also approved - with one small exception: the speaker coverings do not look particularly high-quality or particularly durable, they already throw light waves when they are new.
