Myro Amur D specifications

Category : Speakers

Further development of the Myro Amur C while maintaining the pentagonal basic shape:

Tweeter: Accuton BD25-6-258 Factory price: 28000 Euro

Although intended for home use, the speaker is also used in the recording studio.

Due to the very high resonant frequency of the diamond tweeter of over 40 kHz, playback is possible with the lowest phase rotation and extremely smooth filtering in the audible transmission range. This, combined with the unique filter technology of all frequency ranges, enables perfect square-wave reproduction, which was considered impossible by experts with a passive loudspeaker until 2014.

"It is already possible to perceive an almost indescribable increase in details; - and this causes the music to acquire a authenticity that banishes any ratio and draws me directly into it. One of my discs frequently used for the listening tests is the 1st album by Esther Ofarim. [...] For this you can confidently sell your car, your yacht and the horse. And if the woman has something against it - no matter, she can't sing so beautifully anyway." Michael Weidlich

Ultrasonic measurements are required to detect any menbran resonances of the Accuton Cell diamond tweeter. During the measurements, one goes into the limit areas of measurement technology. Special requirements apply to the measuring microphone. The majority of microphones already show significant deviations from 15 kHz. Only a few measuring capsules are suitable for the measurements up to 50 kHz targeted in the case of the diamond tweeter. For this purpose, a calibration was carried out on the Microtech Gefell MK301 by the manufacturer. In this case, the microphone is measured and logged without and with a holder in a complex measuring method.
