  • The Tech nics SL-Q33 is a wonderful turntable and a real insider tip! In principle, it is an SL-1210MK2 in the version for home use and - since it is visually not dissimilar to the entry-level devices, it is usually totally underestimated.
  • Very reliable device, but often a well-known mini-defect after long use:
    • Most of the time, the automatic does not work anymore, this is due to a normal square belt that controls the tonearm.
    • To open the device, first remove the turntable and lock the tonearm; if necessary, remove the headshell and tonearm weight. Then you put the device upside down on a pillow and unscrew the feet. This also loosens the bottom plate.
    • This belt, when you open the device, usually crumbles in the device and is replaced near the gears, where a small motor is sitting.
    • You can get such a belt, for example, at the hardware store. If you don't have a strap ready, you can also take a normal rubber band first.
    • However, a square belt with a diameter of 30mm from the well-stocked specialist shop is recommended. The arm moves faster because the matching strap has less slip.
  • Other information:
    • This device is completely controlled from the outside
    • The device has two motors for the separate control of the turntable and automatic
    • Repeat function.
    • The lift works via a push button.
