New in the year 1992 is the conversion of the level display from the old Philips standard to the DIN standard (IEC 94). 0db on the display now corresponds to a band flow of 250nWb/m instead of 160nwb/m as before.
Accordingly, the Dolby symbol is now 4db lower at -1db instead of +3db as before.
The Pioneer CT-S610 is largely identical in construction to the Pioneer CT-S 810 S , without Dolby S and smaller device feet. The CT-S 610 can be operated remotely in the Pioneer system bus.
With the CT-S 810 S, it is Pioneer 's last cassette deck with a left and vertically inserted drive.
