Central drive arrangement and two inner chassis: High structural strength, improved damping of interference vibrations and reduced crosstalk between adjacent Built-in drive: Stabilizes synchronism and reduces tape vibrations
Three-head assembly with automatic monitor (backband control),
Coils made of oxygen-free single-crystal copper (PC-OCC) for conceivably clean transmission.
Fine-grained Capstan bearing: Smoother belt run due to minimized surface roughness of the winding-side capstan bearing
Super Auto BLE calibration computer with three ranges (bias, level, equilibrator) and at three frequencies,
additionally bias adjustment with +/- buttons is possible (left side on the front of the device)
High-quality power supply: lower noise and wide dynamics due to better electrical Features
Vibration-damping construction: Two inner chassis, robust honeycomb-reinforced chassis, cassette stabilization, decoupled cassette compartment door and large damper feet
Dolby B/C NR Noise reduction and Dolby HX Pro
CD deck synchro: Easy transfer from CD to tape with Pioneer CD players
Digital tape tension control: Constant low Synchronisation fluctuations from start to finish
Recall memory: the latest settings (super Auto BLE data, manual bias setting, Dolby NR status, etc.) are retained in memory
Fluorescence level meter with "Meter Range": switchable to narrow range with increased resolution
Hold function: peak level is recorded up to the next value (good for recording settings)
Switch-off display: For Avoiding any noise scattering
Music search: With direct access up to the 15th track start in both tape directions
4-digit electronic tape counter with numeric time, real-time and remaining time display
Mute recording button with automatic blank space
Motor-assisted cassette compartment for loading and ejecting the cassette
particularly fixed cassette holder after retracting the Cassette
Repeat function
Headphone output, adjustable
Timer pre-equipment for playback &recording (timer sold separately)
New in the year 1992 is the conversion of the level display from the old Philips standard to the DIN standard (IEC 94). 0db on the display now corresponds to a band flow of 250nWb/m instead of 160nwb/m as before.
Accordingly, the Dolby symbol is now 4db lower at -1db instead of +3db as before.
Together with the Pioneer CT-S 910, the Pioneer CT-S 710 is Pioneer 's first model with a centrally located drive. The reference master drive was installed at an angle of 10° to the rear. The following models have adopted this design.
