This Yamaha model was affected by the problem of possibly bursting or burning of an interference suppression capacitor in the power supply and has been modified by Yamaha free of charge in a recall campaign since 2007. (also applies to some other models of these years of construction). The affected metal paper capacitor of the Rifa brand was also installed by many other manufacturers (including Dual , Revox , Saba, Philips ) - but there were never any recalls because of this.
