• He elegantly sets the scene, the black Uher player with smoked glass. It is also flat, the motor-driven drawer, which makes the CD disappear gently into its invisible interior, makes it possible.

• There are certainly no problems with the insertion. This also applies to the operation, because although there is a lot on offer in this regard, the well-thought-out display contributes to not making the programming of the individual music sequence confusing.

• Well thought-out display and operation
• For example, if you want to program the first of the 16 available memories, a "1" with an arrow flashing over it appears after pressing the corresponding buttons. You can now search for "his" piece of music or enter the track number directly, whereupon a "2" with a flashing arrow appears. However, it also displays playing times (individual, total and remaining times), various functions of the short-stroke buttons that are pressed, and the track number. The design of the light indicators is very eye-friendly, the green, slim digits are probably easy to recognize in any light, which is also helped by the offset arrangement. However, this has the disadvantage with the X-2 that you cannot see the display of the "Auto Pause" function from diagonally above.

• "Auto Pause" has nothing to do with an overheated cooler, rather, the player goes into a waiting position after finishing the running piece of music. The skip functions are also not missing and bring the Uher a lot of pluses, because the jump to the next or previous title takes an average of only 1.4 s, an extremely short time. The fast forward and reverse flow was designed in two stages, which also allows eavesdropping.

• The device has a headphone jack with volume adjuster, and the voltage is sufficient to realize even larger levels, which is rather the exception. The build quality is also good; a very satisfactory picture is imprinted on it.

• Far less can be said about the measured values, i.e. the playback quality. Although the transmission characteristics are "only" top class, which seems to be almost academic in this device class, the immunity to interference, however, gave the Uher full marks, and that is not a matter of course!

• Overall, a very pleasing device with good operating comfort, solid manufacturing quality and technical characteristics that - in a positive sense - are not worth mentioning.
