The similar TC-K707ES was sold in the USA, but here with the better Laser amorphous sound heads.
The dual-capstan drive was continued by the Sony TC-K 690 , the 700 series was created completely new with this device.
The almost identical Sony TC-K 611 S has the same equipment - except for the double-capstan drive. The dimensions and the technical data also match. Both devices share the same user manual in the German BDA.
