externally almost identical to the Sony TC-KE 600 S The sound of the deck is really very good, I almost couldn't believe it! Recordings without Dolby are extremely good! As an improvement, I have also installed golden RCA jacks and exchanged the two 4700 mt capacitors for NIPON Chemi Audio F (M) 4700 mt 25 Volt audio caps. In terms of sound, it may even be better than a Sony TC-K 770 ES deck. Please only have conversions carried out by trained technicians.

STEREO 8/1996, Comparative test: satisfactory. "Four Dolby S chips, three heads and test tones to measure - that's only available at Sony for 500 marks. However, the dynamics with Dolby S is hardly better than with other decks with Dolby C..." - ibid. P.25
