The device is based on the Sony MDS-530, and therefore belongs only externally in the JB series. It has the external amenities of the 9er and the technology of the 5er.
Like the other devices of the JB series, the sheet metal is stronger than JE devices, bolted with a total of 7 screws (2 on the top).
Apparently only one model in black was available in Europe. If you wanted the silver model, you had to choose the JB 930 QS.
The device started on the market a little later than the other devices of the -30 series: instruction manual and tests are dated spring 2000.
Audio 3/2000: Upper class, good. 73 Points (75 p. digital, 70 p. analog)
(no further tests in German-language Hi-fi audio magazines)
