Correctly spelled Klein + Hummel (abbreviated K+H) founded shortly after the Second World War by Walter Hummel, Horst Klein and Heinrich Brumm in Ostfildern/ Kemnat. The company had developed professional sound reinforcement technology (ELA) and sound technology (including active loudspeakers) and hi-fi devices in the field of measurement technology, but above all. Classics such as the Tuner FM 2002 have been created. The HiFi area was served between 1955 and 1979 and there was also a cooperation with Saba and Telewatt in phases.

On March 1, 2005, the K+H brand was taken over by the Sennheiser Group of Companies (sales and development), the independent production was abandoned in 1986 and relocated to Tullamore, Ireland. The K+H brand and the rest of the company were discontinued as of December 31, 2009. From 2010, the product divisions of K+H were continued under the umbrella of the Sennheiser Group. Sennheiser took over the part of the permanently installed sound reinforcement technology for new buildings ("Installed Sound") and under Georg Neumann (also a purchased Sennheiser subsidiary) the studio monitors and electronics.
