The 731Q finally brought the quartz locking of the drive control electronics. Unfortunately, however, the omission of a tonearm height adjustment and a pickup attachment that does not correspond to the 1/2 inch standard, which makes the device quite inflexible in the TA selection. In addition, the effective mass of the tonearms was further reduced.
Although there is an adapter set that requires the conversion of the sound head in order to be able to operate standard sound pickups(which at the same time adds back the few grams of effective mass saved), one wonders whether Dual has not gone one step forward and two steps back with the 731.
