  • Tangent ial tonearm (unfortunately, a support/weight adjustment is not exactly user-friendly solved.)
  • With T4P pickup MMP 450 made by Audio Technica (in delivery condition)
  • separate selection for speed (Speed 45/33) and plate size (17/30") one red control LED each at the factory
  • Continuous play circuit (repeat with red LED indicator)
  • Power (without LED Anz.)
  • Lift (without LED Anz.)
  • to move tonearm L+R by push button (without LED Anz.)
  • There is a Matsushita drive under the housing / installed (similar ones were also installed in Tech nics and Panasonic players)
  • A system change seems to restrict the selection of systems or system manufacturers at first, but currently some manufacturers are still present in this area. Due to the specifications of the T4P standardization, a conversion by removing the locking screw, re-plugging and re-screwing is also done quickly. However, as soon as a system that does not fall under the (weight) standardization is to be used, adjusting the contact force becomes a real test of patience, since the exact adjustment of the tonearm counterweight is not exactly user-friendly, because it is only possible with the housing removed. In general, T4P pickup systems, in contrast to 1/2" systems, are changed very quickly and also "pre-set" according to the standards.
  • With e.g. an 7ee6bd4e01033ee909e058b5c60f7a7d OMP (a T4P system) the player plays in remarkable quality. In addition, the supply of current (manufacturer's) new needles of the OM 10-40 series is also secured, even longer (because the system is widely used).
  • I have replaced all the red LEDs on my player (with the exception of those for the repeat indicator) with green ones > (M.P.M.N.) a red "warning light indicator" for the displayed operating states is not attached; e.g. a green illumination looks much friendlier here.
  • When making second-hand purchases, make sure that the documents (at least the service manual, as well as the operating instructions) are available / are included.
  • The Service Manual will definitely be important if no service with the respective adjustments has been performed on the player at (or after) the time of the mains voltage conversion (220V to 230V). In order to be able to carry out the same service with the corrections according to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • As with all DirectDrive (controlled) players, you should replace the original RCA cables with shielded ones on these players. It is essential to connect their shielding cleanly separately to GND in order to avoid foreign interference with the motor control (usually uncontrolled "turning up")!
  • Other devices of the same series:
  • Turntable:
  • Dual CST 100
  • Dual CST 3510
    Integrated amplifier:
  • Dual CV 3510
  • Tuner:
  • < li>Dual CT 3510
  • Tape Deck:
  • Dual C 3510
  • Picture: Dual CST 3510 (with 7ee6bd4e01033ee909e058b5c60f7a7d OMT /T4P)
  • I was looking for an affordable Tangent ial player, for 80€ I found one. With original system and still good needle. I chose "Toy" by Yello as a test record. The player runs perfectly, nowadays not a matter of course with such "old electronics". If you search for the player on the Internet, you will eventually find the remark "plastic part", he should be defamed as a "cheap China firecracker" (wrongly).
  • This is by no means a cheap product. The base plate is made of solid sheet metal throughout. Very stable and heavy. Aluminum turntable. Even with the original built-in system, I was very pleasantly surprised by the sound. And the operation is really easy! The advantage is the exact scanning of the plate even without "adjustment work" during a system change.
  • Of course, the 80s design may not be to everyone's taste, but there is still plenty of opportunity to upgrade the player visually enough.
