The Yamaha GE-60 is an equalizer like any other. There are rarely big qualitative differences in equalizers, at least not in Yamaha. The spectrum analyzer lights up in a cool bluish white, the lights of the controller are red as always. The color of the spectrum analyzer can be changed by a glued colored plastic film behind the front (if you want to break the style). The equalizer is quite heavy, which speaks for its good workmanship, all the controls still move very smoothly after all these years. As an extra, the GE-60 has two tape inputs and a subsonic filter whose transfer frequency is adjustable. The equalizer does not cause any noise at all. The strange arrangement of the sliders should also be mentioned: the left and right channels of a frequency range are always located directly next to each other. All in all, a very good device and my favorite among the Yamaha equalizers (even if I almost never use it). For comparison, I already had an EQ-550 and EQ-500.
