The Yamaha CT-800 is characterized by a clear voluminous sound and first-class workmanship. Compared to many tuners from this time, he is rather undervalued. Its metrological shortcoming is its low selectivity, which does not have a negative effect when used on the cable. However, his tonal qualities are exceptionally good, and are in the range of the top class. (Comparable to its big brother CT - 7000) Most of the devices delivered in Germany have a slight deviation of the scale display (0.8 MHz), this can be easily corrected by loosening the drive on the rotary capacitor.
This tuner from the seventies is rarely offered on the net and usually with significant signs of use.
