The Universum System 2500 has been manufactured or purchased for Quelle by Lucky Goldstar (today LG ). It is largely identical in construction to the Gold Star 754 / Dynamics GSA-8500 / Goldstar GSA-8500. The main difference was in the equipping of the rear and front sockets. Where the source model has DIN sockets for microphone and headphones on the front, the "external" models are provided with jack sockets. The Dynamics / GoldStar GSA-8500 has corresponding speaker terminals and RCA sockets on the back, whereas DIN sockets are installed on the Quelle model. The amplifier offers an exceptionally wide range of adjustment options for its price range, which was otherwise only possible with much more expensive devices. The technical data are good mid-range, the visual appearance also corresponds to the much more expensive upper price segment at that time.
