Laser unit is fixed. The CD is fixed by means of a puck, which is guided over the laser during operation. This is to ensure a safe and more accurate scanning.
From tuners like "Swoboda" etc, this CD player is highly regarded as a foundation.
Care must be taken to never leave the puck without a CD in the drive. This could damage the drive.
The best drive for CD player, vice!! Think along with the puck!
The original opa TI-2604 and OPA TI-2132 chips should be changed after 20 years. You will be amazed at how clean the player sounds again. We then tested the player against an XA50 that was tuned, the original unassembled, Sony XA50 IT was in no way inferior to the tuned ones! On the other hand, the Sony X779ES and Sony XA333 sounds much better. There is no need to fool yourself! There are worlds in between. Also tuned, the XA50 does not get close to the two players mentioned before.
