Tech nical errors:
Devices were delivered with a faulty audio board. This error leads to incorrect digital output (Coax & Optical Output) of Pre-Emphasis CDs! Tech nical change () = old values: R3312 & R3324 change to 10K (22K) R3318, R3313, R3330 & 3325 change to 22K (24K) R3319 & R3331 change to 10K (22K) R3362 & R3358 change to 12K (10K) C2336 & C2346 change to 1.5nF (1nF) C2341 & C2351 change to 1.5nF (1nf) C2335 & C2345 change to 51pF (680pF) C2327 & 2332 change to 1uF (33uF) L5304, L5303, L5306 & L5305 change to 820uH (1000uH) After this Change it can lead to the toggle cracking of the dig. Exits are coming. To avoid this, a 1M resistor is soldered via C2342, C2335, C2352 & C2345 in each case! The CD850 was not affected, all changes were implemented in the factory here! Errors that occur: C2521 is losing capacity. As a result, the laser current increases, which can lead to the destruction of the CDM4 unit! CD holder: Plastic part (Part No. 155) gets a hole through the ball (Part No. 157), leads to the "jumping" of the CD, especially after transporting the player! The gear for drawer mechanics dissolves or becomes porous and breaks!
First real 1 bit player!
Test result of Stereoplay 06/90 49-51 points.
For comparison, the test result of the CD880 from issue 03/88 is 43-45 points.

It is possible to set the player in the so-called "Trade Mode" (demonstration mode). To do this, the player, with a CD in the device, must be turned off. Press and turn on the "Time","Fast Reverse", "Next" buttons at the same time. To exit the mode, press "Open/ Close" on the remote control.
