The Receiver Loewe TA 4000, type SX 6772 was "Small" in the Loewe Hi-Fi component series, but the many application possibilities and the ease of use of the "Big". Two pairs of speakers could be connected, as well as two tape recorders, two turntables and another high-level program source (Aux). The nominal output power (DIN) was 2 x 25 W at 4 ohms. The built-in VHF/MW tuner had an VHF sensitivity of 2.5 µV at 300 ohms. A combination instrument for field strength and transmitter-center display and the wide analog scale made it possible to precisely set a desired transmitter, whereby the AFC circuit determined the optimal tuning point. Stereo transmitters were indicated by a light-emitting diode. Due to the numerous connections and the large amount of circuitry, it was possible to record with the receiver SX 6772 on two tape recorders at the same time or to transfer directly from one tape to another. The recording could be checked at any time, also 'backband' when using three-head machines.
