The build quality alone speaks volumes. To this day in 2008 I have my couple in use. No failure, all beads are flawless and incredible sound. That was HECO quality. Absolutely no comparison to what is sold today by an import company (which only bought the brand name)under the name HECO. There are worlds in between.
Absolutely clean, differentiated highs and mids. Fantastically powerful and dry bass - the additional purchase of a subwoofer is absolutely superfluous!! I have run the Heco Ergo 902DC compared to my new canton. Result: The basses seem to go down lower on the "old" Heco , otherwise the sound is comparable on both speakers, but with slight advantages for the Heco 950. The Heco is audibly more differentiated, especially with classical music!! Apparently there is no progress in loudspeaker construction anymore - or is it due to the lower prices??
