The 701s Heco have turned out to be very "performance hungry" for me. Heco specifies a recommended amplifier power of 30 - 300 watts in the operating instructions for the loudspeakers. For me, they initially only played "unbalanced" on 80 watt amplifier output power (per channel) in my opinion (I was disappointed at first!). For a truly balanced agile sound image, you absolutely need more power provided. In the meantime, they play worlds better with me at 300 watts per channel. To put it in a nutshell, it is absolutely not about listening to music loudly, but only to be able to cover the power requirement according to the output signal (s), only supplied according to the power, the speakers also sound very balanced. As an additional tip, I recommend using the two speaker cables unbinded to the two upper < / b> connection sockets on the speaker, even if you do not want to < / b> operate bi-Amp Wireing.
There are manufacturers who reach deep into the box of tricks when specifying the amplifier power. Often, top bars are indicated with utopian numbers. For example, pulse power, only 1 channel controlled. This looks great in the brochure, but has nothing in common with the performance of the amplifier in stereo operation. Where should the dreamed values in watts come from if the input power is many times lower according to the nameplate??? On my honest amplifier 2 x 65 watts, these speakers have a very good efficiency. F.G.
Well, I noticed that the Heco victa are actually not performance hungry at all. I have them on a Grundig R 30 of the older generation and it only has 2x30 watt sine and it gets out really good power. The specifications of today's new amplifiers are sometimes set utopically high, half are rather realistic or optimistic..
