Bose 901 III specifications

Category : Speakers

Brand : Bose

Third edition of this loudspeaker presented by Bose in 1968. Years of construction: about 1976.

Now manufactured using the high-pressure injection molding process. Each driver now sits in his own chamber. The low bass is mainly emitted via the three air columns on the back of the loudspeaker (flow speeds of over 100 km / h).

With the Series III came the HVC driver. HVC stands for "Helical Voice Coil". It has a higher efficiency compared to the original Series I and II driver. This is especially true for the low bass. Can be seen as the most important development step of the entire construction period so far.

The equalizer is new and now has contour switches for treble and mid-bass.
