Have had a lot of fun with this device for 20 years now. Together with high-quality standboxes (Dynaudio ), the RX-700 delivered a warm, high-quality sound and the connection options have left no wish unfulfilled to this day. Unfortunately, however, a shaky contact in the field of LED display incl. Remote control acceptance crept in, which obviously affected a large number of these devices sooner or later, because when trying to purchase a similar device used, this error was almost always present. Now after 20 years of intensive operation, another electronic component has unfortunately left, which will probably now mean the final end (from a certain run-time heating after about 1 hour, an interference noise suddenly starts). Due to the really good sound, the stepless loudness and the great flexibility with connection devices, I will now stay true to Yamaha with a new RX-797 in the two-channel stereo range.
