- TD 160 Super BC
- For audiophile purists, Thorens launched the TD 160 Super on the market in the early 80s. Tech nically, this version essentially corresponded to the TD 160 Mk II, but it was distinguished by a larger plate bearing (diameter 10 mm), a larger and more massive housing (MDF instead of chipboard), as well as a subchassis specially damped against vibrations. The standard turntable mat was replaced by a resonance-absorbing specimen. This drive was offered ex-factory without tonearm, due to different tonearm bases, its owner had a wide choice when choosing the tonearm (9 ").
