With 2x20 W music power, the device has enough power to drive Hi-fi speakers (the author has increased the sound quality by several classes as a result); the included 3-way speakers have 3 chassis, but no crossover (not even a capacitor in front of the tweeters). In addition, the woofer delivers almost no bass at all (like probably all comparable devices). The 3-band equalizer hardly helps here, also because its slide potentiometers lose contact after a few years. The rotary potentiometer behind the volume control is of much higher quality and works like on the first day even after more than 30 years. The mono switch for VHF makes sense, with which the noise on VHF can be significantly reduced. The full-blown 6.35 mm headphone jack is also good.
