Sony TC-WR 890 specifications

Category : Autoreverse cassette decks

Brand : Sony

Brand: Sony

Model: TC-WR 890

Dolby HX PRO system ensures improved linearity in the upper frequency range during recording. Separate Dolby systems B and C on each deck allow individual adjustment of noise reduction during simultaneous recording, relay recording and dubbing at normal speed. BIAS calibration allows the setting of the optimal pre-magnetization current for each type of tape. Quick reverse function for switching the running direction during recording and playback with extremely little interruption. Automatic band type detection during recording and playback. Multi-AMS, Blank Skip and memory function for convenient track finding. Relay function for successive recording and playback for both decks. Automatic playback-start function after playing back the tape. Timer-controlled recording and playback when a separately available timer is connected. Synchronously controlled dubbing at either normal or high speed. Simultaneous recording for recording the same signal source with both decks. Allows you to change the recording level when dubbing at normal speed. Fine adjustment of the tape speed during playback and dubbing at normal speed (Deck A). The fluorescence modulation display works very precisely in time and is easy to read. Digital linear counter in minutes and seconds shows the elapsed recording and playback time of each deck.

Both drives work completely separately from each other. For example, you can record with one while playing back with the other. Or you can copy from one to the other drive in some places and control it in each case. A slight touch with the hand is detected and the flaps close quickly and very quietly, motor-controlled. Many functions are hidden behind the aluminum flap. Both digital counters have memory function. The belt speed can be regulated infinitely fine. When copying from drive to drive, the level can be readjusted. The reverse operation can be switched, as well as the series switching of both louvres. As befits a studio device, separate biases are adjustable, and the balance is adjustable.
