Comment from "Hifi Engine": The compact but incredibly powerful stereo music control center TC-630 consists of an amplifier with high-quality Sony silicon transistors, a precision three-head -Tape deck and high-performance speaker systems.
Silicon transistors and selected power transistors ensure the lowest possible audio distortion and uniform gain characteristics over the entire operating range and also improve the signal-to-noise ratio.
Four pairs of stereo inputs, gramophone, tuner, microphone and AUX, correspond to the settings of the source selection switch on the front panel. Line outputs and stereo headphone jacks are provided for versatility.
The tape transport mechanism is designed so that the stable tape drive can be used either vertically or horizontally. The symmetrically arranged sliding volume levers and the precise VU meters are suitable for the recording volume.
Other functions include automatic end shutdown, instant front and backband comparison, noise reduction for unwanted high-frequency noise, sound-on-sound and echo effect for professional recording techniques.
