Motor control of all sliders by means of several central motors and a slide system. The controllers are touched sequentially from the inside. The spectacle can be seen in several videos on youtube. Incredibly complicated mechanics but so solidly constructed that it still works flawlessly today. The whole case is full of boards and wiring. In terms of sound, the EQ must have completely outperformed many competing products.
