Excerpt from Brochure: Revox Forum B MK II, Plenum B MK II
Completely revised successor of the Revox Plenum B
It was aimed at well-off audiences with little space but the desire for the sound of a "big one".
The Plenum B MK II cannot be called really small, but it is a good compromise: if the wife does not tolerate the big "ugly" boxes in her living room, she will have little objection to the Revox .
Tonal description: The WAF is quite high with these speakers
The Revox have a powerful and crisp bass and only miss something bigger in living rooms with "gym dimensions"!
Tips for buying used: As a rule, the Revox are firstly rare and secondly well maintained. Treble and midrange are unproblematic and last forever. The woofer probably needs new beads if the previous owner has not already renewed them. Currently (2011) about 500 € are paid for well-preserved copies with new beading. If the beads are defective, you can deduct about 200 €.
The repair is easy to do yourself with a little skill
You can get the matching beads on Ebay and you usually get the glue for this
If not, Pattex or similar brands are well suited
