  • about 80 seconds for a 26.5cm coil with about 730m tape material
  • Horizontal/vertical operation
  • A tape pull switch allows the use of any coils up to a Maximum diameter of 26.5cm. The coil holders have a lock and the device can be operated horizontally or vertically.
  • 3 toroidal core heads with two systems each in 2- and 4-track technology. Two separate recording and playback amplifiers each. Cat hode follower outputs.
  • 6 watt control amplifier with front-rear band switch. Level control with two VU meters according to ASA regulation.
  • Input amplifier switched as a mixing console in mono mode.
  • Trick recordings such as duoplay, multiplay and Echo without additional devices.

  • Some of the technical data from a wide variety of sources do not match. The Revox G 63 was built in the versions MK I to MK III
  • At the beginning of the 60s, the Revox F36 model was completely redesigned. This is how the Revox G36 tape recorder was born. This high-quality tube tape recorder now had 26.5 cm coils, two VU meters for the sound level control and a synchronous motor for the tape drive, which ensured a very even tape transport. The first models of the G36 had a "tape feel lever" on the right side of the tape channel, which switched the machine to stop at the end of the tape. Later models of the G36 tape recorder were then equipped with a photoelectric tape end switch, similar to those that were later installed in the A77, B77 and PR99.
