I am very satisfied with this device. Has been serving for 25 years and I am thrilled with how the Dolby Surround works. Considering that there is only stereo input and no digital inputs. But I am afraid that the stated performance is not quite right. For the supposedly only 40W coming out at 8 ohms, it pushes quite neatly. I think the Pioneer has a little more power than really stated. My Denon AV receiver has 90W but the old Pioneer is in no way inferior to that. Top device and still high quality "Made in Japan". With over 7kg weight, there is a lot in it. Pink noise is stored and you can control each box individually and adjust the level. Even without a TV menu, only via the display and the remote control, all of course. I switched a processor before that and set the frequencies and the runtime correction. So I'm not giving it up anymore. Use 5.1, also has center connection and SUB preout. My homemade boxes with Visaton equipment sound very fine and pleasant. The Pioneer has enough power reserves, even for a living room with 50sqm. Top!
