The Phonar P40 is the original version of the P-Series. The models without the S or ii in the type designation are unshielded. The P40 can be recognized by the round, slightly smaller bass drivers.

The case has a little less volume than that of the P40ii and is therefore also a little smaller in dimensions.

The P40 inspires with its temperament, which, however, does not become too much at any time and is best coordinated with each other. Due to the arrangement according to "DAppolito" with two midrange drivers, the P40 achieves an incredibly three-dimensional image. Even at low volumes, the sound character of the P40 is completely convincing and never becomes intrusive. The carbon chassis react with lightning speed and play with incredible timing.
