Myro Wild Thing Projekt 318 specifications

Category : Speakers

The model is a customer-specific further development of the Myro Wild Thing 3 C with an extreme 18-inch bass module. The low bass reproduction alone is not the goal. The aim is to achieve a very flat phase response with the associated time accuracy. A case in the shape of a truncated pyramid was constructed for the bass. Advantages:

In addition, the walls are constructed as a sandwich and stabilized inside by stiffeners. The bass module has a height of about 87 cm. The sitting position of the listener is relatively high. The 18" woofer fades out smoothly at about 100 Hz, depending on which coil is ultimately used. This is only possible because the mid-woofer of the top part is operated without a high-pass filter. It is strongly dampened due to the very low quality. The efficiency is based on the top part of about 88 dB/Wm. The impedance frequency response is very smooth, varies slightly by 5 ohms. The electrical phase frequency response is corresponding.
