The 5025 / 5025B is just a slightly upgraded 5010 or 5010B. Tech nically and mechanically the devices are practically identical.
The 5025 differs from the "smaller" models by:
- a switchable zero stop function of the counter
- peak level indicator LEDs for peak value display
- separate controllers for microphone L + R and line L + R (smaller, coaxial controllers) with a master level controller
- slightly lower synchronisation fluctuations ( 0.11 % vs. 0.12 % for the 5010)

The 'B' and 'non-B' models differ not only by the practically functionless hexagon screws in the front panel, but above all by the width. "B" models are 416 mm wide and thus fit the separate tuners/amplifiers from Marantz ."Non-B" models are 440 mm wide and fit the receivers.
These were screws that were once intended to attach the device chassis (without lid) in an EIA rack. The Marantz devices had -not quite by chance - a width (440 mm front outside, 400 mm chassis) that was compatible with certain EIA 19-inch audio racks. These rack screws are then omitted in the B models.
