There are actually a total of six different models in this series. Model 1515, 1530 and 1550, as well as the models 1515L, 1530L and 1550L, which largely correspond to the aforementioned receivers, except for the additionally installed long-wave tuner. The series was partly manufactured in Taiwan from 1978 to 1980 (only the 1515 and 1515L models) and differs from the receivers of the 22XX series, which are very much sought after in collectors circles today, comparable in case dimensions.

A look under the hood and in the data sheet reveals that there is similar technology in all six devices, which differs mainly in the amplifier part. They wanted to appeal to layers of buyers who did not want to spend quite so much money. This is most clearly seen on the bottom of the device made of cheap hardboard. There were also the technically identical receivers MR215 / 215L, 230/ 230L and 250/ 250L, in which parts of the front of the device were made of colored acrylic and which were therefore offered even cheaper.
