There is only scant information in English for this new top pickup from Luxman . The instruction manual is only available to us in Japanese. However, All-Akustik, the sales company for Luxman products, will undoubtedly ensure that a German-language instruction manual is supplied as soon as the LM C-l goes on sale. After all, you could see the principle scheme shown in the picture below from the Japanese booklet.
The magnetic field lines always run from the north poles to the south poles and therefore cross the coil sitting on the needle carrier. The manufacturer expects an absolutely discoloration-free reproduction of this. Obviously, a solid stick made of diamond or sapphire (figure p. 218) is used as the needle carrier. The scanning needle consists of a crystal-oriented rod with a square cross-section and an edge length of 0.12 mm, the tip of which is specially ground elliptically (semi-contact line). The light weight of 5.1 g should cost about DM 750.-.
