According to the Stereoplay test report, the difference to Level 5 is the larger bass configuration of Level 5. According to Stereoplay, very linear frequency response with low distortion values. Classification in the top class area (2?).

Level 5 received the next higher classification because of the lower bass range with a higher level.

My sound impression Level 4: Dynamic, analytical in all areas, transparent, effortless midrange reproduction with kick bass due to the large midrange driver. Despite a strong, well-tuned treble reproduction (linear according to stereoplay), Metallkalotte does not make itself felt by aggressiveness / intrusiveness.
