Infinity Hybrid Class A Amplifier

The Infinity "HybridClass A" amplifier was built by Infinity to operate the best speakers of the IRS series with it. This HCA was only built very strictly limited (100 pieces). The input side of the car is operated by selected and low-noise HI-GRADE tubes from the manufacturer AMPEREX and RCA.

In 1978 Infinity Systems entrusted the task of developing an Infinity Hybrid Class A power amplifier to audio developer and engineer Bascom H. King.

The Hybrid A amplifier was built to take full advantage of both technologies: tubes for the input and voltage amplifier, and transistors for the output and current amplifier.

After a year of hard work, including the help of engineer Bob Day, who designed the physical packaging and the front panel, the hybrid Class A amplifier was finally ready.
