General

Tech nical data

The devices of both series were Grundig in-house developments and, like the FineArts series, were manufactured at the Grundig plant in Portugal (Braga). The differences between the building blocks of the 5500 and 5200 series were the equipment. For example, in contrast to the 5200 series, there was now an RDS tuner and the double cassette deck now also had HX-Pro in addition to Dolby B + C. In addition to the black version, the 5200 series was also available in a special version with titanium-colored fronts. In contrast to the Grundig full-size components of the line range offered at the same time, these devices were of higher quality and had better equipment.
