Tech nical data

The Goldring GR-1 is offered as a modified model GR-1 T by Räke Hifi Vertrieb in Germany. The simple Goldring board player has a plastic motor pulley, which is replaced by an aluminum part at Transrotor . A Rega RB250 tonearm with Goldring Elektra system is pre-assembled. In addition, a solid aluminum plate weight is included in the scope of delivery from Räke and the turntable itself is complemented by a brass plate engraved with the inscription "Goldring GR-1 T". From the construction itself, the turntable looks very similar to the Rega players, but the workmanship of the board is comparatively poor (gray plastic veneer, scuff strip-like rubber end edges). As with the Rega board players, the speed is switched by lifting the turntable and flipping the belt on the motor pulley.
