The following three price levels refer to devices for collectors. The following is a note on restored devices. Of course, the information is not legally binding, but intended as a guide. Anyone can pay or demand the price that seems appropriate to him. The rest is regulated by the "free market economy".
'Tech nically and optically almost new devices' The devices of this evaluation level must have a flawless appearance and a technically optimal condition - they do not have to be brand new. The technical condition of the equipment must be clearly functional, its individual parts or assemblies must be in the original condition. This also means that any defective components or assemblies have been replaced by using original spare parts. All original documents should be present.
'Tech nically functional devices with slight signs of use' The easily visible signs of use can only be recognized on the surface of the plastic, lacquer or wood veneer surfaces as well as plexiglass
and metal surfaces. These traces should clearly correspond to light traces of care and use. The labels of the often used controls, switches or buttons should still be largely preserved in the letter or number print. The technical condition of the device must be clearly functional, its individual parts or assemblies must be in the original condition. This also means that any defective components or assemblies have been replaced by using original spare parts.
'Tech nically functioning devices with clearly visible signs of use' These are devices that have been operated or used with greater stress. The signs of wear are diverse and often recognizable. The surfaces also show matting in places. The labels of the most frequently operated controllers have incorrect letters and number imprints. Tech nically, the devices should work and be in their original condition.
In the evaluation stages, it was assumed that the devices m are in their original condition. This means that they should not have been repainted or reprinted. Even if the repainted color corresponds to the original shade, the device is still not considered to be in its original condition. In the installation, there are no further condition groups of those devices that have severe damage and for which comprehensive restorations have been carried out. Even if these devices look almost as good as new after restoration and often work very well, they are not in their original condition and therefore cannot be assigned to the rating levels A, B or C. The seller of such a device is obliged to inform the purchaser of the restoration work and not to let him believe that he has purchased a device of level A "technically and visually as good as new". Specialists in the technical or optical field of the device can clearly recognize the restorations carried out. However, there are many device seekers who accept the professionally well-executed restoration and also pay the required price.
