January 28, 2009 / My sound impression:
Treble: If you listen to the box for a long time, you notice that the very high treble becomes quite unpleasant. This was achieved by the fact that the HT runs in the switch via a 10nF with a parallel-connected resistor of 33 ohms. A fascinating new sound for the upcoming CD time! I got rid of this fashion-related mischief by bridging these components and connecting a 2.7 ohm in series to the HT. Since then, the heights have been linear.
Bass range: You can always hear lows, but they are very imprecise. In the switch, a 0.47 ohm resistor is connected in parallel to the two TTers. This causes a not so strong coupling of the TTer to the power amplifier, the box volume can contribute better. (Reflections from the housing have a retroactive and time-delayed effect on the TT diaphragm) If a musician wants to reproduce the bass of a piece, he must be able to hear the pitch exactly. For this purpose, it is recommended to bridge the 0.47 ohm, which is connected in series to the two TTers. Then the sound is gone, but the basses are more precise and better locatable.
Result: Now the box sounds even better than before, and that means something!
The same applies to the speakers: Clean or sound, i.e. correct or beautiful. Almost like in real life.
