The twinactive concept is a special version of the AXIS 5 with the special Expansion stage of the 5-way kit. The AF 502 electronic crossover has a stereo input via the two RCA jacks, which is controlled directly by a preamplifier or headphone output. On the output side, it is connected to the two stereo output stages via the 4 RCA jacks.

Advantages of the partially active principle: Due to the direct coupling of the bass loudspeaker to the power amplifier, the latter can better control the bass diaphragm, since there is no coil left in the signal path. Since the mid-treble range also has its own power amplifier available, there is no longer any negative influence on the mid-treble positions in the case of large bass attacks. During a hearing test, you will notice that there is a clarification of the low bass and an improvement in the maximum dynamics can be found in the entire frequency range. This loudspeaker thus has the extreme ability for dynamic music reproduction, which is coupled in the spatial imaging and the extraordinary silence.
