Can be operated remotely: IR sensor built–in, remote control c279c1ef3fe7ca1956b057d2e95af71b RC 425 as an accessory,
c279c1ef3fe7ca1956b057d2e95af71b amplifier system remote controls such as. RC-151,RC-156 or RC-176 can be used for basic functions
BIAS controller
Many controls and buttons are hidden under a hinged metal strip (headphone output as well);
Device front made of aluminum - this is impressive, especially with the champagne-colored model;
One of the few elaborate devices with dual capstan drive in horizontal design of the drive
Very stable construction. 9 (!) Screws fasten the housing, sound waves and head carriage are mounted on a die-cast basis
Shielded power supply for lower radiation transmission
The adjustable headphone output (= output Level) is also the variable RCA output: if it is set small, the playback volume to the amplifier is also quite small. This must be taken into account when playing.
There is a technical similarity to the Harman Kardon TD-470, only these two devices were manufactured with double capstan belt guidance. The "smaller" c279c1ef3fe7ca1956b057d2e95af71b cassette decks DRS-610 and DRS-640 also have similar devices with the Harman Kardon TD-420 and TD-450, respectively.
The c279c1ef3fe7ca1956b057d2e95af71b DRS-810 was next to the DRM-800A and later c279c1ef3fe7ca1956b057d2e95af71b's largest and most expensive cassette deck in the 90s.
