Report at "Radiomuseum": The LS 150 floorstanding speaker will be activated together with the LS 150 passive version for the first time in the catalogue Sept. mentioned in 1982, in addition, the amplifier insert PA1 as the blurb of the front. Both are described as new, but the insert PA1 is without further technical information. The following year (Aug. 1983, Braun Hifi. The future as a concept.), both are again called new, but the technical data of the PA1 are given in detail for the first time. If you look at the active version in the context of the Braun amplifier spectrum from 1983 - 1986, it is noticeable that there is no separate Braun preamplifier during this time. The LS 150 aktiv can therefore only be connected to Atelier-A2, where the signal can be decoupled from behind the VV. But the investment in two power amplifiers remains. It was not until 1987 that the adequate partner appeared with the Atelier CC 4 as a preamplifier (+ tuner).
On Nov. in 1984, the LS 150 box (optical) and the PA1 power slot were electrically modified (now PA1/1). The revised version can be recognized by the following features:
Elimination of the previously bright decorative rings on the LS chassis
HT chassis has been acoustically revised
The resistor circuit of the OV IC 501a has been changed, the capacitor C 622 is omitted, C 621 + C 508 are modified.
