The classic special model of the Series VI is the "limited" - later "Concerto": this one was given an exclusive finishing in piano lacquer. The wooden cheeks of the Custom and Classic models were replaced with brushed aluminum side panels. Well-preserved models already achieve high prices for lovers today.

In the mid-90s, an innovation came: the BOSE 901 as an active speaker with an integrated amplifier in the foot. This included a 6-fold CD changer as a control unit with an integrated receiver - the 901 Lifestyle System. The "Concerto" was chosen as the loudspeaker, which can also be removed from the foot and operated passively.
