Notes The "Monitor" version came onto the market after the great success of the DT 880 and the "Studio" version. The difference was in the diffuse-field equalized frequency response, which became popular at that time. In principle, the 880s of that time were all equipped with the same driver. This was realized by differences in the ear cushions (fabric instead of leatherette) and the damping in front of the driver. Otherwise, a very neutral listener who was in strong competition with the AKG K240 DF.
