Special features

The diaphragm of this tweeter consists of an extremely thin aluminum foil with five directional conductor tracks, which oscillates back and forth in front of the air gap of a very strong magnet. Extremely fast pulses, as well as unique airy and detailed high-frequency reproduction are the result.

The square woofer of the 911 has a membrane made of rigid foam, which is coated with two layers of high-strength special paper in housing color. This resonance-free sandwich construction, due to its low dynamic mass, together with the large-sized voice coil, causes an extraordinarily fast oscillation in and out, which results in clean, fast and deep bass.

Like all chassis with foil diaphragm, the tweeter of the 911 is also subject to aging, which is expressed in this type in particular in the increase in impedance. Normally, the impedance of a linear field converter of this generation is 2.6 to 2.8 ohms.
