Art Audiophile Directe specifications

Category : Speakers

"Two ways with integrated subbass. The task of achieving the smallest possible sound emission field for phase-corrected reproduction was achieved with small loudspeakers. From 80 Hz, the visible midrange speaker transmits up to high frequencies with a wide cut-off angle, in addition, the fabric dome takes over without acoustically relevant phase rotation. The subchassis, from 40 Hz -1 dB, is radiated densely to the sound center via two reflex channels, which are fed by a chassis of the same size of the midrange driver. This allows a very narrow housing with all the advantages of spatially correct imaging without the often common low bass deficiency."

The Art Audiophile directe was presented at the radio exhibition of 1991 and also appeared again in the catalog for the fair of 1993, but was built in a small edition of only about ten pairs.
